Brief Introduction on Traffic Cones Made from Four Different Materials
Traffic Cone is a traffic facility for all road hazard areas, construction sites and large-scale event sites to reduce road traffic accidents and stampede in large-scale field events. Common road cones can be divided into 4 types of materials, PVC, rubber and PE and EVA this article is mainly intended to make a brief introduction on these 4 kinds of road cones and their respective characteristics:
PVC
PVC traffic cone is made from PVC material through the mold processing. The PVC cone could be twisted and pressed in 180 degrees. It could also reinstate when you make its top touch the floor, with high flexibility against the run over and impact of the cars. Because of good weather resistance, it won’t deform in high temperature 65°C and craze in low temperature -30°C. the PVC traffic cone delivers good warning effects at both day and night, anti-UV, aging resistance and durable. It is also called “uncrashable traffic cone ”.
PE
PE traffic cone is made of polyethylene, a kind of thermoplastic resin made by polymerization of ethylene, which d is innocuous, non-odorous. Besides, it has the advantages of good weather ability and wax-like feeling. Since the raw material of PE is high pressure polyethylene, the broken PE cone can be recycled and reused. The PE traffic cone is also easy to store and place. A variety of them can be stacked –one inside another, thus making it not only very space-saving (the height of 50 PE traffic cones stacked together is less 2 meters.) but also largely convenient for transportation.
Rubber
Rubber traffic cone is made through the steam high-temperature vulcanization whole mould pressing or rubber, combining the toughness, anti-aging, pressure-resistance with portability and durability of rubber. It features one-piece design and low center of gravity. The excellent weather ability ensures no cracking and no deformation of the rubber traffic cone in a wide temperature range from -30 to 65. The rubber cone could be twisted and pressed in 180 degrees. It could also reinstate when you make its top touch the floor within 20 seconds.
EVA
EVA Traffic cones are manufactured by flexible foam EVA material that is biodegradable and contains no odor and heavy metal, therefore discarding and burning of won’t cause too much pollution to the environment. It possesses superb color retaining ability and anti-aging performance. It also features brilliant fluorescent red/orange with UV inhibitors on both the surface and inner layer. Moreover the EVA traffic cone is the only type that can be silk-screened.
